There is a long list of things pharmacists can now treat directly, no GP appointment, no two-week wait. Most people still don't realise it. Here is what we can actually do for you in the private room.
Pharmacy First, the headline list
- Sore throats and earaches
- Sinusitis and infected insect bites
- Impetigo and shingles
- Uncomplicated UTIs in women aged 16 to 64
If antibiotics are clinically appropriate, we can prescribe them on the NHS, on the spot. If they aren't, you will get clear advice, safety-netting and a plan, which is often more useful than a prescription.
New medicine, new questions
Just started something and not sure how it should feel? Book a New Medicine Service review. We will go through how to take it, what side effects to expect, and whether what you're noticing is normal.
A ten-minute chat in the consulting room saves a lot of midnight worry.
Walk in, ring the bell, or book a slot online. The room is private, the conversation stays between us, and nothing is added to your record without your okay.
