Flu season feels inevitable, but it doesn't have to feel chaotic. A little planning in early autumn protects you, your family and the people around you who can't fight it as easily.

Timing matters more than you think

Antibody protection peaks around two weeks after vaccination and gently fades over the months that follow. Getting your jab in October hits the sweet spot, strong cover through the worst of the winter peak.

Who should prioritise the jab

  • Anyone over 65
  • Pregnant women, at any stage
  • People with long-term conditions like asthma or diabetes
  • Carers and household members of vulnerable people

We run flu clinics throughout autumn, book online or pop in for a walk-in slot. It's quick, it's quiet, and it's free for most groups under the NHS.
